§ 8.2. Compensation and bond of the justice.

(a)

The Justice of the Peace shall receive as his compensation an annual salary provided by the Council by ordinance. Such salary provided shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and charges to which such Justice would be entitled but for the provision to this section, except those for the performance of marriage ceremonies and the notarization of instruments.

(b)

The Justice of the Peace, before entering upon the duties of his office, shall give bonds to the County of Macomb in such sum as is provided by law and the City of Richmond in like amount. Such bonds shall be subject to the provisions of Section 4.8 of this Charter.
