§ 8.3. Power and jurisdiction; general.

The Justice of the Peace of the City shall have and exercise therein and within the County the same jurisdiction, powers, and duties as are or may be conferred upon or required of Justices of the Peace in townships by law and shall be subject to the general laws with respect to such justices except as otherwise provided in this Charter. He shall have concurrent jurisdiction with other Justices in Macomb County as to all crimes, offenses, and misdemeanors when alleged to have been committed within the County of Macomb, whether within or without the City.
